Diane had three paintings accepted for the November 5 to December 9, 2016 Harvest of Art juried art exhibition in Punta Gorda, Florida. This exhibition is described by the Visual Arts Center as “Charlotte County’s oldest and most prestigious annual juried exhibit”.  At the conclusion of the show Diane learned that her painting Spirit had received the People’s Choice Award based on ballots submitted by the hundreds of art enthusiasts who viewed the show in the Federal Gallery at the Visual Arts Center during the fall Fine Arts Festival. Diane’s painting was inspired by watching three PPYC members, including her husband Graham, racing Fred Horwitz’s Harbor 20 sailboat Spirit during a competition on Charlotte Harbor last spring.
